PLASTIC RECYCLING PROCESS

SERVICE
  • What is the plastic recycling process?

We have established an integrated processing system that converts recovered industrial mixed plastics into recyclable resources for domestic and overseas supply.
Plastic materials that were previously treated as "waste" due to complexity or contamination can now be transformed into reusable resources through our advanced technologies and facilities.
Under our philosophy of "not simply processing waste, but utilizing it for the future," we contribute to the development of a next-generation circular economy.

  • Plastic Recycling Process

    1. 01

      Collection and Pre-Treatment

Industrial mixed materials collected from our facilities and partner companies are consolidated at the Shichigahama Yard. at this stage, preliminary sorting is carried out according to material type and condition, and materials containing large amounts of impurities are assigned to appropriate processing lines.

    2. 02

      Shredding Process

Materials are processed into granular form using dedicated shredding equipment.
The system supports various materials such as films, rigid plastics, and mixed plastics, improving efficiency in subsequent processes.

    3. 02

      Washing Process

Shredded plastics are cleaned through a washing line to remove oil, dirt, and attached contaminants.
The washing water is filtered and reused through a circulation system to reduce environmental impact.

    4. 02

      Density Sorting (Centrifugal Separation)

After washing, materials pass through a density sorting (centrifugal separation) line to separate plastics and metal fragments with different specific gravities.
This process enables the separation of materials such as PP, PE, ABS, and PS while improving material purity and removing contaminants.

    5. 02

Advanced Sorting (Electrostatic / Color Sorter)

For materials that cannot be separated by density alone, automated advanced sorting lines are applied.
This allows not only material-based separation but also the production of uniformly colored recycled materials.

      • Electrostatic Separation:High-precision separation of resin materials based on differences in electrical properties
      • Color Sorter:Optical sensors identify colors and automatically sort materials
→ Ensures color consistency for recycled materials such as white and semi-transparent resins
    6. 02

      Pelletizing (Recycled Pellet Production)

After final sorting, the materials are processed into uniformly sized recycled pellets (resin raw materials) using pelletizing equipment.
These recycled pellets are continuously supplied to:

      • Domestic manufacturers and plastic molding companies in Japan (currently expanding sales channels)
      • Overseas resource processors and product manufacturers

We already have proven overseas export achievements and contribute to the global circulation of recyclable resources.

  • Strengths of Tousei’s Recycling Process

    • Supports composite and contaminated materials: Integrated in-house processing from shredding to molding
    • Ensures high quality through automated high-precision sorting: Multi-stage control using electrostatic, density, and color sorting
    • Environmentally conscious operations: Water recycling, proper processing, and contribution to CO₂ reduction
