Equipment Used in the Post-Shredding Process

At Tousei Co., Ltd., multiple advanced systems are combined to automatically and accurately separate composite materials.
As a result, materials that were previously discarded can now be transformed into valuable recyclable resources.
Below are some of the key facilities used throughout the actual recycling process.

  • Saltwater Separation

    Saltwater Separation

Plastic materials are passed through saltwater adjusted to multiple concentration levels, allowing precise separation based on subtle differences in specific gravity.
Different materials float or sink at different depths and concentration layers, enabling highly accurate material sorting.
The system also incorporates washing and drying processes, helping remove dirt and impurities while maintaining stable quality for the next processing stage.

  • Electrostatic Separator

    Electrostatic Separator

Utilizes differences in the electrostatic properties (dielectric characteristics) of plastics to achieve highly accurate sorting by material type.
The sorting accuracy reaches approximately 98%.Unidentified materials are automatically recirculated and reprocessed.

  • Optical Color Sorter

    Color Sorter

Recycled flakes are analyzed using cameras and optical sensors, then classified into three colors: white, gray, and black.
This contributes to product consistency and stable quality in the final recycled materials.
